Turbogal: “I love your strategy on staying away from negativity. I just this week heard a speaker on climate change saying that we can talk about all the negative effects, but we need to make sure we really talk about the positive future that is possible when we make changes today, and what that positive future looks like. Another speaker spoke about how it is easy to focus on the negative things going on in the world, but she makes a practice of intentionally turning her attention to the positive, as a way to support and build more of that action, rather than spending her limited attention only on (real and concerning) negative.” And thanks for recommending “Gardeners’ World” on Britbox.
DeviantStitch: how about we start that KAL on May 1st? The Bloodroot tee

What's On My Hooks and Needles:
Finished: nope.
In Progress:
Stash toss 2026 (23 in, 41 out)
Doing the sides, all the blocks are joined. Done up the side panels. Thinking of the liner, digging out an old flannel sheet.
Lakeside cardigan : Remaining: 1 set of front on panels, each is 2x2, weaving those ends, attaching, then major remaining seams.
It's crocheted and has been on my Rav projects page for months. I’m done the second torso piece and I've sewn it all together. On the left arm! That will leave the bottom ribbing section and some fixes on the bottom of the other arm.
A
great video by The Shetland Trader on steeking armholes for stranded -pattern vests. A
fine discussion of reinforcing and cutting a steek by Brooklynn Tweed. You do put underarm stitches on a stitch holder. You do still shape the armhole per the pattern. Currently shaping the armholes as I head for the neckline.
At neck and upper armhole shapings
Tolsta the Second: a few rounds on the body…just heading for the finish and the sleeves
Dizzy Lazer Socks #3: stripes done on both socks, now finishing the brown yarn on foot of sock 2. Then I will use up the gold yarn on the foot of sock 1. Then heels and toes in Oink Pigments’ pigtails sock yarn mini in “basic witch”.
Dizzy Blondes: still spinning the LS BFL Giverny.
Using the electric eel 6.1.
