What's On My Hooks, Needles, and Spindles:

Not yet finished:
The OHM Shawl by Michelle Miller .
On to the second color! If I ever pick it up...

One Row Lace Scarf...actually, it's all I've wanted to do for the past week or so.

Not on my needles, but worth a mention:

The Apple-A-Day Shawl KAL is here! Brenda's shawl for this year is gorgeous!
Yarn from BeeMiceElf. Brenda is the host of the KAL. Also all of Goodstuff's patterns are for sale at 50%. Details here.

Dizzy Blondes:

The third (!) 8 ounces of Shetland wool from RenCon Ranch--still in process.

A heap of plying piling up...

Strategy:

Identify how you sound when your mood is turning sour and stop yourself. Really. You'll only regret it otherwise.

Put a Lid On It:

The milkshake I can live with: 2 cups milk, 1 banana (frozen), 1 cup blueberries (frozen), 2 Tblsp Peanut butter: about 556 calories

Aw Shoot!
2.5 miles on trail last Sunday. 1 week until my next race.

Ravelry has a group dedicated to Fitbit users: here.

Something I Really Like:

Road Runner Sports--the place I get most of my running gear. Their own brand is reasonably priced and good quality.

Blather:

The Running Out-Take. Eleanor grows up and gets THAT surgery.

Afternoon at the Louvre by Michelle Miller. Just lovely, and I now have the colors used in the model! Thanks, Michelle!

Dizzy Blondes:

The third (!) 8 ounces of Shetland wool from RenCon Ranch--still in process.

I finished the Freckle Face Fibers BFL that I was spinning on Peregrine the Sidekick!

Strategy:

Own your experience and use it with pride. Modesty may be a fine thing, but not when it interferes with your abilities.

Put a Lid On It:

Okay, I admit it: watermelon rind pickles are amazing, if allowed to mature for several months.

Aw Shoot!
WOOT! 2 miles done last Sunday, but my legs and feet took a pounding on cement. A bit about running surfaces.

There is now a thread on the Ravelry group to discuss your current exercise of any form.

Something I Really Like:

The Fitbit Flex--helping me jumpstart my return to running and fitness.

Blather:

CFR, running, and general high spirits.

We did update the Red House BBQ monument to CFR:

CFR5--some images

Minion hats by Loretta 1031.

The ladies in the various interpretations of Michelle Miller's shawl designed for CFR4 (2012) are (l. to rt.) Shari, Dr. Gemma, Carol, Pat, and Barb.

That's Jin the elder and I together at the planning brunch on Sunday.

Stacy/JediMom is taking a break on the hall floor alone for a brief second.

Jamie is our Viking, as well as our metalsmith.

In the van, Michelle Miller is making the peace sign; that's Erica Hernandez sitting on Michelle's  right (our left).

And those are the reformed ZomBears voguing on my hotel bed!

Margaret Dashwood Shawl--41 repeats and doing the decrease rows.

One Row Lace Scarf...set aside for the nonce...

Dizzy Blondes:

The third (!) 8 ounces of Shetland wool from RenCon Ranch.

I finished the Freckle Face Fibers merino-silk I was spinning on Peregrine the Sidekick!

...But I also finished 10 oz of emerald green merino and 4 oz of a merino-silk blend on Fiona the Ashford! My warm thanks to Dizzy Ruth of the Dizzy Ewe for helping me purchase and to Michelle Lee  of Studio 66 for teaching me how to use the new Ashford!

Strategy:
Change your mind. No, really. You MUST change your thoughts to change your feelings.

Put a Lid On It:

I canned the pickled aubergine (eggplant) at last! 2 pints! And 5 pints of dilled sandwich slices (cukes) for good measure, using Persian cucumbers.

Aw Shoot!
I am up to running 1.5 miles. Now if only I could get back to the archery range...!

There is now a thread on the Ravelry group to discuss your current exercise of any form.

Something I Really Like:

The Woolee Winder for spinning.
The Griffin Dye Works Autumnal Fiber Frolic in Monrovia, CA
The Dizzy Ewe

Blather:

CFR5 is fast approaching. Meanwhile, a review of Cooperative Press' new book Stitching in the Stacks.
