Episode 123: For Auld Lang Syne, My Dear

Blankets (2008-2023)
Who twice drove off attackers as we ran together in the desert hills
Who won her place among us and learned to trust again
Who adored Teddy and Artemis, befriended Eleanor and Baron, and mothered Captain and Queenie
Who taught me more than any mentor about trauma and survival
Who died peacefully in my arms
We will run the hills again someday in a better place. I’ll bring treats.
