Episode 85: Staying in the World

Comments are welcomed! Either comment here or go to our group on Ravelry.

I have a YouTube channel "Doctor Gemma". Flash tips (1 minute or less) around surviving the pandemic and longer strategy discussions.

Buy Dr Gemma a Ko-Fi, if you're enjoying the podcast and feeling up to it. Remember that I am still working, though, so feel free to give the money to a charity instead.

I will NOT add you to any of my follower groups currently, due to robo-accounts. Please follow me here. You can contact me through our group on Ravelry or on this blog.

Warm Thanks -

Hi Dr G this is TST! I do like my new name. Thank you for answering my queries last week and I take your point about a 30 year old not wanting a 70 year old (in my case) chum. However. I sometimes find that friends my own age just want to swap lists of ailments. Not fun. By comparison the young people I have met through wild swimming groups are fresh and full of life. This goes along with what you were saying about staying in the world, joining new groups. Although I won’t be hitting any discos soon perhaps my new young chums can perceive me as a grandmother figure? I always did aspire to be the wise old crone of the village.
You talk to us often about how to handle mental pain and anguish and I thank you for that. I have learned a lot from you. How about our mental approach to physical pain? I am always interested in learning or reinforcing pain management techniques.
Thank you for continuing to podcast. I look forward to hearing from you every week. X
