2y1x Mom:"I am currently using the Kobo Libra Color and the Kindle Color Soft. The Kobo Libra Color has buttons (which I love) and a stylus. However, I am too entrenched in the Kindle universe to make a complete change. I will say that I downloaded most of my kindle books and the process through Calibre is very simple to place on the Kobo. The Kobo store is not as impressive as Amazon and doesn’t have all the Amazon deals. To be honest, Kobo is just another electronic bookstore. I am still leasing books. It is kind of like switching from light brown eggs to dark brown eggs. Unfortunately, Amazon is still the best platform to get the items we need. Stores in our county just don’t keep any stock, especially electronics."
Storie and MonikaHolmberg: Both spoke up to help me identify the Moomin on my new cap as SnorkMaiden. It's the fringe! And, Monika, yes, Nathaniel the Hawthorne was a frequent feature on my vid journals during the Quarantine.
DCAlaneKnits: "This was too funny.
On like Monday, I forwarded the news clip from CBS and the Knitting Tree store to Dr Gemma and suggested it for her next field trip. And she has just returned. I will look for the clip. I had recently gotten the pattern for the “chickie” to make for a local organization (possible replacement for a couple of organizations I knit with). Made with aran weight it is supposed to end up about 6”. I’ve been making it for Easter gifts with sock yarn held double. Really cute!"
My community: on Reddit, on the ground in the SCV, in this group.
