Episode 126: A Taxing Week

Again, for the condolences for our Blankets. Our heartfelt condolences go out to our own Sagepecas, who has lost two members of her family this week in the form of two well loved and long-lived cats. She requests that we talk about mourning for pets, which is a very appropriate topic to cover, so I will work on that for this episode.
Sustainablelivin: finds my voice calming and is the second person to tell me that she uses the podcast to fall asleep at night. As to my being attacked while running, I've actually been attacked multiple times, hit by cars twice...women running alone face many challenges.

Lanesplitter Skirt- I’ve turned the first corner and I’m on the straight-away--32 inches along!
Don't Know Yet--a year in blocks-- onward! Seaming experiment:
19 x 19 blocks!
18(19) squares=361 squares. And extras
Arranged, photographed, and clipped. Rows 1-16 sewn together, ends woven. Row 17 is now clipped to the body of the blanket and getting its long edge seamed. Row 18 is getting its short edges seamed. That’s 304 (84%] blocks out of 361 done!
Pennsylvania Dutch embroidery--not yet
Lady Eleanor Shawl-- The Next Big Thing. Progress in middle of skein 7/11. 32” long so far.

Arranged, photographed, and clipped. Rows 1-12 sewn together, ends woven. Row 14 is now sewn on to the body of the blanket . Row 15 is now clipped to the body of the blanket and getting its long edge seamed. Row 16 is now getting its short edges seamed. That’s 266 (74%] blocks out of 361 done!
