What's On My Hooks and Needles:
Finished:
Romjul 2025:
Coco Strange Brew: I’m on the neckline! Using Pacific Knits doodles. Sweater is Women’s Large, about 2” ease. Even my patients were impressed.
In Progress:
Stash toss 2026 (16 in, 34 out) picked up 2 skeins Knit Picks bulky yarns to finish Agnes sweater with hand-dyed that I bought years ago.
Doing the sides, all the blocks are joined. Done up the side panels. Thinking of the liner, digging out an old flannel sheet.
Lakeside cardigan : Remaining: 1 set of front on panels, each is 2x2, weaving those ends, attaching, then major remaining seams.
September Sweater: It's crocheted and has been on my Rav projects page for months. I’m done the second torso piece and I've sewn it all together. On the left arm! That will leave the bottom ribbing section and some fixes on the bottom of the other arm.
Dizzy Lazer Socks #1: for more brainless knitting. Casting on the second sock. Lazersheep and Dizzy Blonde yarns
Vestuary 2026: A
great video by The Shetland Trader on steeking armholes for stranded -pattern vests. A
fine discussion of reinforcing and cutting a steek by Brooklynn Tweed. You do put underarm stitches on a stitch holder. You do still shape the armhole per the pattern. Currently shaping the armholes as I head for the neckline.
Prawn Agnes: On skein #4. A very fast knit, and that was the point!
Dizzy Blondes: still spinning the LS BFL Giverny.
Using the electric eel 6.1.
Strategy : SNAP… For those of us with hot tempers! Making your anger plan when you’re not angry.
AW shoot! 6 miles in L A!
Fluffy Books:
Project back episodes on Proton-
episode 151-200 of the new series
Put a Lid on It:
Sardines 101: turn on kettle, prep Earl Grey in cup, put bread in toaster, decant sardines, pour water to steep tea, add white wine vinegar and pink salt to sardines in bowl, mash fish, put fish on toast, remove tea ball from tea. It’s a process.
Blather: Saturday: LA with the boys and Susie, sock knitting, La Brea Tar Pits, Cheesecake Factory at the Grove.
Sunday: resting, puzzling, a chat with Jasmin Knitmore.
