I am freeing myself today from 7 garbage bags + of broken, old, or unused stuff! And you cannot even see the difference in my cluttered world...

13 Bears in 2013 kicks off--literally

Project "13 Bears in 2013" for Mother Bear Project has begun! The first 7 sets of feet for the 13 bears I am crocheting in 2013 for my pet charity are awaiting legs. Mother Bear Project sends these bears, made by crocheters and knitters, to kids in 3rd-world countries who have been impacted by AIDS/HIV. I am hoping to complete my own bears number 27-39 in 2013.

A bazilion thanks to you all for your kind blessings, prayers, good vibes, comfort, and general compassion towards all of us here in CogKnitive-land, especially Nathan. We got him back. That's a picture of him today, sitting with his husband Ron (on the right), in my office. Sad News and a Request for Prayer

Nathan (AKA StrapHanging) packs the 67th bear to mail to Mother Bear Project after organzing another successful raffle that raised over $600. He never wanted to make bears, so he found a great way to support the Project that only he could have carried off so successfully.

We have sad news today.

On his way home from the CogKnitive Fiber Retreat 2012, our own beloved Nathan had a massive heart attack. He made it to a hospital, where they performed cardiac surgery immediately.

We have to wait another 2 days before we really know if he is going to wake up and be our own Nathan again, or if there was more serious damage to his brain. His body is strong, but he did require CPR, so we cannot know if he has serious brain damage.

Please pray for our Big Guy and recruit anyone--churches, listeners, friends, readers--to pray for him.
