My Lunar Eclipse Socks! Yarn by Dizzy Blonde Studios.
Tutorial for the After-Thought Heel is here.

Both Dizzy Blonde Studios and Forbidden Woolery are vendors at and Friends of the CogKnitive Fiber Retreat and I am delighted to promote their fine products!

Dizzy Blondes:

No spinning, due to sinus issues.

Strategy:
Be abstract and flexible when creating goals, but make your goals as concrete and specific as possible.

Put a Lid On It:
Quiet in the kitchen. Now I use 1.5 cups Greek yogurt as starter for every 1 Gallon of milk. I use organic Fage 1% yogurt as starter. I try to eat at least a half cup of yogurt per day, and my digestion and mood are much better for it.

Aw Shoot!

I finished in second place in a virtual run on April 28, after having a flare-up of Achilles tendonitis. I am using the elliptical lately, in place of running, to give my tendons a break.

Please remember to hydrate you and any running pals.
Important facts:
one gallon of water weighs 8.3 pounds
Any mammal can carry only up to one quarter of its weight.

Ruffwear backpacks for dogs.

Something I Really Like:

Endorphins that happen after a good work-out. If only I liked running as much as I like the endorphins...
Zombies, Run! --still a blast!
www.active.com --a website that is dedicated to helping you find and sign up for local athletic events.
The options for local runs/walks, etc. are great these days.

Blather:

Wow--the lunar eclipse was very visible from my front porch, so I sat up all night to watch it. If you get a chance, try to stay up for the next one--it will be happening again soon--and enjoy the discussions about it on Facebook.

I am looking for a quiet pony for me and my son to share.

I do my first deposition next week...

I did finally exceed my calories for one day, but I managed to recover. It was an anxiety episode, and I got over it. But God bless Joe's Crab Shack! It was there when I needed seafood!

Prizes for Mother Bear CAL/KAL have been sent out!

I will be at the Retzlaff Spinning gathering on June 7th.
Camp CogKnitive is coming (see above). July 25th!
CFR6 is on Oct. 11, 2014.
Meditation camps in planning/possible: Philly, DFW in TX, North Carolina. Let me hear what you think!

Catching up on your podcast. I am enjoying your tips on setting goals. I'm also reading "What I talk about when I talk about running" by Haruki Murakami and thinking he is a great example of successful goal setting. Forgive me, if you've already read this book, but I thought I'd mention it. It is so refreshing read something autobiographical by an author who actually seems to leads a balanced lifestyle. It's also helped me to think of my goals as long term.
